You can use the server settings below to configure your 3rd party email client (e.g. Outlook Express). Step-by-step instructions are also provided below for the main ones.

Outlook Express
- From the Tools menu, click Accounts
- Click Add, and then click Mail to open the Internet Connection Wizard
- Type in your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing email messages and click Next
- Enter your TELUS email address and click Next
- Select IMAP as your incoming mail server type and fill in the incoming and outgoing mail server settings using the
corresponding information below and click Next.
Note: we recommend IMAP if you want better performance and plan to access your email from multiple computers or devices.

IMAP email settings:- Server type = IMAP
- Incoming (IMAP) server = imap.telus.net
- Outgoing (SMTP) server = smtp.telus.net
- Type in your account name and password and click Next and then Finish.
Note: Make sure you do not check the Secure Password Authentication box.
- From the Tools menu, click Accounts

Outlook 2003
- From the Tools menu, select Email Accounts
- On the Email Accounts wizard window, select 'Add a New Email Account' and click Next.
- Select IMAP for your server type.
Note: we recommend IMAP if you want better performance and plan to access your email from multiple computers or devices. - On the Internet Email Settings window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
- Name: Fill in a name that your would like to appear on all outgoing messages.
- Email Address: e.g. your.name@telus.net.
- Username: Enter the username you were provided when you signed up.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up.
- Incoming Mail Server: 'imap.telus.net'.
- Outgoing Mail Server: 'smtp.telus.net'.
- Click Next then Finished.

Outlook 2007
- From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
- Select New from the Email tab.
- Click Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and click Next.
- Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' and click Next
- Select 'Internet Email' and click Next
- On the Add New Email Account window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
- Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages.
- Email Address: e.g. your.name@telus.net.
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server: 'imap.telus.net'.
- Outgoing Mail Server: 'smtp.telus.net'.
- Username: Enter the username you were provided when you signed up.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up.
- Click Next then Finished.

Apple Mail
- From the Mail menu, click Preferences.
- Click on the Accounts icon.
- At the bottom in the left hand corner of the 'Accounts' screen, click on the '+' icon
- From the Account Type dropdown, select IMAP then fill in the following information:
- Description: e.g. TELUS Email
- Email Address: e.g. your.name@telus.net
- Full Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages.
- Incoming Mail Server: imap.telus.net
- User Name: Enter the username you were provided when you signed up.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up.
- From the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) dropdown, select Add Server.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter 'smtp.telus.net' and click OK (don't change any of the advanced settings).
- Click the red icon at the top left hand corner of 'Accounts' and click Save.

Windows Mail
- From the Tools menu, click Accounts.
- Click Add.
- Enter your Name as you would like it to appear on outgoing messages and click Next.
- Enter your Email Address then click Next.
- On the Set up Email Servers window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
- Incoming email server type: IMAP
- Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: imap.telus.net
- Outgoing email server (SMTP) name: smtp.telus.net
- Enter you Email Address and Password and click Next and then Finished.

Windows Live Mail (Windows 7)
- Click on Add e-mail account
- On the e-mail account information window, fill in the following information:
- E-mail address: e.g. username@telus.net
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up
- Display Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages
- Make sure Manually configure server settings for e-mail account is checked
- Click Next
- On the e-mail server information window, fill in the following information:
- My incoming mail server is: IMAP
- Incoming server: 'imap.telus.net'
- Outgoing server: 'smtp.telus.net'
- Click Next
